While sitting in drawing room, I was thinking that since 2 weeks one of my loyal blog reader asking me to write about Narendra Damodardas Modi's foreign policies. So today I decided to give you a cheat sheet about this particular topic. If some one talks about him, he has to start with the so much hyped "Indian General Election 2014" to add up to 16th
"Lok Sabha". In between March to April I couldn't forget upsurge of Mr. Narendra Modi. He emerged as the most well like and closest to everyone's heart candidate for Prime Minister's post and consequantly BJP won the election by massive mandate with 282 seats of its own. This must be the spell-working of his beguiling personality which pulled all vote banks towards him.
Who didn't watch the swearing-in ceremony function which was held on 26th May, 2014 when Shri Narendra Modi took oath as 15th Prime Minister of India. The magnetism of the function, no doubt, was Modi ji but the centre of attraction were the official heads of SAARC and other who's who from Pakistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Have you ever witnessed royalties in one swearing-in ceremony function? This was just the beginning of Prime Minister's foreign agenda. What was the motto behind this type of step? Answer lies between our neighborhood too. Lets suppose your'e living in worst society or neighborhood ever, will you survive? Will you be able to interact on daily basis to them? If you are in so much trouble, could you ask or seek any help from them? Yeah! No need to tell me the answer. So if you want to grow, you need sole thing which is good neighborhood. This simple rule is followed by Narendra Modi till now.
Everyone wants to work with him and it has proved just after when he took charge of Prime Minister of India. All 5 permanent members of "United Nations Security Council" sent their delegates to India. These delegates were from China, Russia, France, United Kingdom and United States of America. First move which was taken by Mr. Modi to ameliorate relations with East countries and ASEAN. His next move was to enhance the relation with maritime neighbors in the Indian Ocean Region. Project "Mausam" was also formed under this policy to promote ancient trade and establish cultural linkage with these neighbors.
Fast Track Diplomacy was achieved by our external affair minister "Shushma Swaraj" by having round-table meeting with her counterparts of Middle-East, SAARC and ASEAN. Modi ji also introduced one term "Para diplomacy" under which any city or state of India can have the long term ties with any Federal state or city of other country. It was introduced under India's foreign policy. He met his counterparts of Brazil, United States and Canada only to build indestructible relations with Nations in Americas. For above mentioned connection he visited various European and African countries too.
This "Building relationship- saga" was started with his very first visit to Bhutan after becoming prime minister and this is still going on. Even being an Indian we all want to encourage these visits as they will contribute to Indian GDP and harmony eventually.
