Kash: A walk into Indian history

At times many monuments are such spellbinders that they justify obsessional ambitions and Qutub Minar is one of them. I will tell you later that how this red brick beauty enchanted Alauddin Khilji at that extent that he gave birth to the remnants of Alai Minar. But, for now, let's laud this majestic minaret with this post and be ready to be blown away by its magnificence. In spite  of being my third visit, I was as thrilled as I used to be in my first one. Battlefield of Chittorgarh Fort This post is the third and last part of three days tour series of my Rajasthan's Trip. My last two days' trip had already made me curious about Chittorgarh Fort as this place signifies Rani Padmavati's Johar and Meera Bai's devotion. Rajasthan not merely showcases the courage of Ranas and Maharanas but it also gives honour to the valorous deeds of Hindu Rajput queens. Chittorgarh Fort is almost 3 hours (123.8 km) drive away from Udaipur city and has already made it to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. This majestic fort encompasses several gates, temples, Gaumukh reservoir, commemorative towers, and palaces. The very first glance of this fort forced me to think 'how come Alauddin Khalji got succeeded in penetrating this indestructible building'! Main entrance of "RED FORT" Every time my perennial strive for Indian history leads me to numerous historical monuments and this time my friends and I decided to visit t his red beauty which is situated in the heart of Old Delhi . This stop-off to Lal Qila  took place last year in September when  one of our commonly odd and random conversations proposed us this idea. Do you know " Red Fort  has already earned the distinction of being the UNESCO World Heritage Site"!

AREA AROUND THE TOMB AND THE MOSQUE Although Indian history is rich in itself, it needs to advertise at times because when time passes, historical monuments start to fade away. Considering this fact, I want to write about one of those sensational places in Delhi, which is known for its music, lights and  restaurants, not for its enormous historical monuments. HAUZ KHAS FORT AND THE LAKE THE BEAUTIFUL LAKE That was the tomb which grabbed my attention instantaneously, yet all I wanted to see was "THE LAKE". This colossal "Lake" or "Water Tank" was excavated by Alauddin Khalji, who ruled over Delhi through (1296-1316). The main purpose of this water tank was to supply water to the newly built Siri Fort.
