Our first day started off from Delhi and ended in Udaipur where we first reached to City Palace. This palace and Udaipur city was established by Maharana Udai Singh II whose life had been once saved by his maid or 'Dai' Panna Dhai. One more fun fact is Maharana Pratap was the eldest son of Maharana Udai Singh. What a majestic place it is😍! I must say these royal people live a luxurious life at their best. The very first thing which I noticed was the exterior view of this palace and the second most enthralling thing was 'Lake Pichola'. The panoramic view of the consolidation of City Palace Udaipur and Lake Pichola will surely take you to another world..... The world of Fairy Tale. The words fall short when we try to describe how we felt there. Although Lake Pichola had grabbed all the eyeballs still we needed to enter the palace first as it was about to close for that day.

It is the beauty of such places that they make you feel like royalty and you can be a king or queen in your world. This is exactly how I felt when I walked into this palace and went through all the arcades of its museum. Right from the Manek chowk to Zenana Mahal everything is spellbinding and compels you to be the part of it.

Lake Pichola
When we were enjoying this enchanting palace Lake Pichola was at the back of our minds and for that reason, we rushed to buy tickets for the boat ride. First, I was so reluctant because I was dead tired still couldn't skip the best chance to have a boat ride in Lake Pichola. I will also suggest you to not to skip this ride as it won't cost you more than 400 INR/head (scroll down for the timings and price) and believe me it's worth it. Some ethereal & picturesque shots don't do justice to its real magnificence. You need to live those moments and be a witness to the charm of Lake Pichola. Although it seems like this lake is natural but much to my surprise it is an artificial freshwater lake which was created in 1362 AD. This name Pichola was given to this lake after the nearby Picholi village and its catchment area is 55-kilometre square. while having fun in boat ride you can also see some luxurious hotels in the middle of the lake which propel your curiosity. This time I couldn't get a chance to go there but better luck next time.
